First Blogsite Ever!

Hi friends and internet strangers!

My name's Yvonne. I've been writing for a long time, but this is my first blogging experience. I've decided to finally give in to technology's marvels, so my great friend, Maria, created one for me, and hopefully it will motivate me to start writing again, that's the idea at least. I was a Creative Writing major at Susquehanna University for three and a half long, grueling, years, writing 15 page papers, staying up all night drinking coffee in the school library. If you've experienced college, you know what I'm talking about. I decided one semester before graduation that writing and SU were not really the right fit for me, and so after coming through (a very long) transition period, I'm starting Social Work in the fall in upstate NY, in this beautiful little town right next to Lake Champlain. I'll be sleeping with the waves and gulls right outside my window. In the morning I can drink my coffee, watch the birdies, and enjoy the calm. It's very exciting after living 23 years in stressed out, rush-rush-rush, now-now-now, Dirty Jersey. Two years of fresh air with the Adirondacks all around (mad hiking), an hour's drive from Montreal, nice people, and a supportive, school environment. I'm so ready!! Well, thanks to everyone who checks out my new blog! The blogging revolution is upon us! I'm jumping in!
